I was born in Seoul, Korea, and I’ve lived there all my life.   I worked as a mammal researcher for the Korean government for several years. That position gave me lots of opportunities to carry out various research projects in mammal ecology, from small mammal trapping to large mammal conservation. After finishing my masters research on the Eurasian Otter Lutra lutra, I wanted to broaden my academic knowledge and experience the bigger world.  For that reason I chose to study and carry out research at the University of Arizona.   For my dissertation, I’m studying the ecology of Cliff Chipmunk Tamias dorsalis.
