Why Choose the School of Natural Resources and the Environment?

Students in our program are interested in conserving and managing biological resources, and our curriculum prepares you for a career with any number of governmental and non-governmental agencies and organizations. The School of Natural Resources and the Environment (SNRE) offers the advantages of a large research university while providing a more intimate setting for you to explore your major working with natural resources, applying science to real world conservation problems, or pursuing another career (such as policy and law) which would be strengthened by a background in science.

If you are admitted to the University of Arizona, then you are eligible to declare Natural Resources as a major (i.e., there is no additional application process to join our program).
