Webinar on the effectivess of post-fire seeding and herbicide treatments

Hello,
This is a reminder that we will be hosting a webinar on the effectivess of post-fire seeding and herbicide treatments to battle cheatgrass in Zion National Park presented by Dr. Andrea Thode from NAU School of Forestry on February 15, 2011 at 12pm mountain standard time.
Please join us for a presentation of the results from this Joint Fire Science Project.
Results from this study suggest that burning can have a more lasting effect than annual mowing in reducing fi ne fuel loads, extending the period between repeated maintenance treatments. When burning is coupled with fall herbicide application, added control can extend the maintenance interval even further through reduction of brome grass density.
