SNRE students Erin Posthumus and Jonathan Derbridge receive Grants-in-Aid of Research from the American Society of Mammalogists
Erin Posthumus (MS student in Wildlife & Fisheries) and Jonathan Derbridge (PhD student in Wildlife & Fisheries) were recently awarded highly competitive Grants-in-Aid of Research from the American Society of Mammalogists. Erin's proposal " Can red squirrel (Tamiasciurus hudsonicus) middens affect species diversity?" and Jonathan's effort "Using stable isotope analysis and experimental removals of a syntopic non-native competitor to determine mechanisms of competition with an endangered tree squirrel" were selected for awards from nearly 100 submitted proposals. Funds will assist in the completion of their graduate research in John Koprowski's research group. Congratulations to Erin and Jonathan on a job well done!
