Zack Guido awarded a $1200 Tinker Field Research Grant through the UA Center for Latin American Studies
Zack Guido, a PhD Student in SNRE's Watershed Management and Ecohydrology Program, has been awarded a $1200 Tinker Field Research Grant through the UA Center for Latin American Studies for his his work on the impacts that climate change has on the contributions of glacial melt water to the surface water provisions in the Altiplano of Bolivia. From their web site (http://clas.arizona.edu/tinker), the Tinker grants provide graduate students with travel funds to Latin America, Spain and Portugal. The aim is to allow students to acquire a comprehensive knowledge of language and culture, to familiarize themselves with information sources relevant to their studies; to conduct pilot studies and preliminary investigations, and to develop contacts with scholars and institutions in their fields.
