SNR Teams Up with Researchers and Educators across Campus in Support of New Biosphere 2 Initiative

Science Foundation Arizona has awarded a three-year, $1.5 m grant to the University of Arizona’s B2 Institute , located at Biosphere 2, to establish a teacher resource and training center for Arizona teachers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).  SNR Professor Dave Breshears serves on the Science Steering Committee of B2 Earthscience, the research component of Biosphere 2. The K-12 teachers participating in the program will have opportunities to learn about Bio2 research projects including Dr. Breshears ongoing research on the impacts of drought on pinyon pine trees.
