My thesis research concerns integrating place-based ecological and social data into a mixed model to identify the influences of amenity based resources (xeric riparian washes, and road networks) on variability in eco-visitor movements across Ironwood Forest National Monument, Arizona. This research project is being conducted to better understand the use of scalar based datasets and biophysical factors in analyzing and estimating visitor use indices in national parks and monuments. This research is facilitated in the Advanced Resource Technology Lab in the School of Natural Resources with guidance from Dr. Randy Gimblett, Dr. D. Phillip Guertin, and Dr. Craig Wissler.
