My research utilizes an interdisciplinary approach to evaluate the ecohydrological consequences of resource redistribution by wind and water erosion in semiarid environments. My work attempts to integrate current knowledge from across traditional disciplines of ecology, hydrology and geomorphology to gain new insight into the relative magnitude and importance of wind- and water-driven transport and erosion. Aeolian and fluvial processes can be closely coupled in semiarid environments and can have important ecological implications for ecosystem biogeochemistry, vegetation dynamics, land management and environmental change.
