I currently work with Dr. Courtney Conway on a variety of projects studying both marsh birds and burrowing owls throughout North America.  Currently, I coordinate projects studying:

  • monitoring techniques for rare and endangered secretive marsh birds across the North America,
  • environmental and human induced factors affecting marsh bird occupancy and abundance,
  • the use of prescribed-fire as a tool for wetland restoration on the lower Colorado River, and
  • burrowing owl ecology and behavior in the Imperial Valley of California.
