The Arizona Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit is a collaborative entity among the University of Arizona, the U.S. Geological Survey, Arizona Game and Fish Department, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and the Wildlife Management Institute.

The UA Herbarium is the largest herbarium in the arid southwest, with 380,000 specimens.

Welcome to the homepage of ARIZ, the vascular plant herbarium at the University of Arizona in Tucson. With over 380,000 specimens, ARIZ is the largest herbarium in the arid southwest and unique in having the largest collection in the world of plants from Arizona and Sonora, Mexico. These collections support a rich diversity of research projects by herbarium staff as well as resident researchers.
