I am a MS student in Dr. Bill Mannan’s lab. My interests are in wildlife conservation and management, but particularly in raptor biology and urban wildlife ecology.

My research is part of Dr. Mannan’s long-term Cooper’s hawk population dynamics project. I’m working with trichomoniasis, an urban-related disease nestling hawks suffer from, here in Tucson. I’m exploring the idea of a physiological trait (oropharyngeal pH) contributing to the apparent differential rate of infection between age classes of Cooper’s hawks.
